Typhoon Dujuan (台風第21号 taifuu dai ni jyuu ichi gou) is currently approaching Okinawa from the southeast. It is forecasted to pass by Ishigaki and Miyako area this Sunday, September 27th bringing rain and strong winds. Depending on the trajectory of the typhoon over the next two days, there is a chance the effects of Typhoon Dujuan may extend to mainland Okinawa as well.
If you are in the affected regions, please take all precautions to secure your own safety. Secure or clear your balcony of any loose items or objects that may be blown away by the storm.
